  • Directed the company's worldwide property, casualty, life and disability and self-insurance programs, including the selection of brokers, underwriters, and consultants, and the negotiation of coverage and premiums.
  • Oversaw corporate safety and loss control functions, including OSHA compliance audits, accident investigation programs, claims management, and safety training and awareness.
  •  Managed Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance projects for Risk Management and Human Resources departments.
  •  Supervised a corporate staff of 20 and had dotted-line responsibility for 30 subsidiary safety professionals.

From 1992 to 2005, Fred's improved risk management programs resulted in:

  • Reduced annual insurance expenses by nearly $20 million, while increasing limits and improving coverage terms and conditions
